NV Energy is taking proactive steps to support Nevadans facing financial hardship due to the ongoing federal government shutdown and the scheduled loss of SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Food Program or food stamps) benefits impacting 500,000 Nevada residents effective November 1.

The NV Energy Foundation will provide $350,000 in grant funding to Nevada's food banks supporting emergency response and sustained food provisions. The NV Energy Foundation is funded by NV Energy-not customers.

"Our service goes beyond providing reliable power-we're committed to being a company customers can rely on during challenging times, as well.
