GE Aerospace Brings the World’s Largest and Most Powerful Jet Engine – The GE9X – to The National Mall in Washington D.C.

Celebrating the Ingenuity of American Aviation to Honor Nation's 250th Anniversary

WASHINGTON, D.C. - JUNE 25 - As the United States marks its 250th anniversary in 2026, GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) is celebrating this historic milestone by honoring the innovations that have defined American aviation for more than a century. Starting today, GE Aerospace will showcase the world's largest and most powerful commercial engine every built, the GE9X, on the National Mall at the Great American State Fair.

Visitors will come face-to-face with one of the most advanced achievements in modern aviation and learn about the breakthrough technologies that enable the GE9X, which will power the Boeing 777X when it enters service in 2027.

Next to the GE9X, GE Aerospace will welcome visitors to an interactive experience on the National Mall titled, "A Window Into The Future." Featuring three 20-foot-tall aircraft windows, attendees will get a window seat view into defining moments in aviation, showcasing engines that have helped shape the fabric of American aviation and serve as the foundation for the future of flight.
