Officers Respond to a Shooting Near South Haven St and East 1st Ave

Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 4:15 p.m.

On July 14th, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Spokane police officers responded to a reported shooting in the area of 20 S. Haven St.

When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult female with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Officers provided life saving measures until medics arrived on scene and took over. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the victim succumbed to her injuries

SPD's Major Crimes Unit responded and has taken over this investigation.

This appears to be an isolated incident, and investigators believe all parties have been identified. This is preliminary information as the investigation is ongoing.

The medical examiner will release the identity of the victim on a later date
