Minister Shahin Meets Federation of Chambers of Commerce Delegation

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Shahin met on Thursday with a delegation from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, headed by its President, Abdo Idris, to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation and coordination.

Minister Shahin underscored the importance of strengthening communication and collaboration between the Ministry and the private sector, while maximizing the role of Palestinian embassies in advancing national interests, particularly amid current economic challenges.

She also stressed the need to continue diplomatic efforts to highlight the impact of Israeli policies on the Palestinian economy and banking sector in international forums, including the ongoing withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues and its serious economic consequences.

The Federation emphasized the importance of a strategic partnership between government institutions and the private sector, as well as stronger coordination among the Ministry, Palestinian embassies, diaspora communities, and the Federation to support national economic development.
