11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, Update: In response to the water main contamination incident near Cuesta Park, the affected households have been under a "Do Not Drink" order. When limited water service was restored for toilet use, residents were required to flush their plumbing systems to clear potentially contaminated water.
Many residents have expressed concern about higher water bills resulting from this process. The City of Mountain View is currently evaluating options to offset these additional costs incurred as part of the emergency response.
At this time, approximately 67 households remain under the "Do Not Drink" order, with water service restricted to toilet use only.
