Courtney Smothers, Deputy Assistant USTR for Latin America, was the featured speaker at this week's USCIB Trade and Investment Committee quarterly meeting, briefing members on the current US Latin America trade strategy. Members also received updates from Valerie Picard, Head of Trade at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), on latest developments on WTO reform, ICC advocacy papers on plurilateral negotiations, transparency, and critical raw materials, and opportunities for USCIB members at the World Trade Organization (WTO) Public Forum in September.
