This prestigious program invites residents of New Jersey who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate school program to apply for an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and gain valuable work experience. Additionally, the program provides a stipend for all students.

Applications are open until December 9, 2025.

For nearly 40 years, the Governor's Hispanic Fellows Program has been instrumental in empowering New Jersey college students to develop the skills needed for successful careers. In 2026, the program aims to welcome 35 students to participate in this transformative experience.

Participants will engage in internships three days a week, complemented by a one-day leadership session each week throughout the summer of 2026. These sessions will focus on leadership and professional development, offering students a unique blend of practical experience and educational growth.

  • The program runs from Monday, June 1, 2026, to Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
  • Interns report to their job placement sites on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Attendance is mandatory for the Leadership Workshop Series on either Monday or Friday or both.
  • Ensure reliable transportation and no conflicts with internship and leadership session schedules.
  • Completion of all assignments and projects, including a professional team presentation, is required.

CHPRD is proud to partner with a diverse array of companies and organizations, both new and returning, to provide these opportunities. Past collaborators include industry leaders, the non-profit sector, educational field and more.
