Margaux Guibal Britt Named Athlete of the Year Finalist

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Senior tennis standout Margaux Guibal Britt is SIUE's finalist for Female Athlete of the Year in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Guibal Britt was voted as the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year after leading the Cougars to their first regular-season title since 2017. She was a first-team All-OVC singles selection and a first-team All-OVC doubles selection with teammate Stefaniya Anikina.
Guibal Britt finished 16-7 in singles play overall, including a 4-0 mark in OVC play. She posted a 19-8 record in doubles play, including a 4-0 mark in OVC play.
The award will be voted on by school administrators and Conference office staff and announced on June 25.
The finalists for Male Athlete of the Year were announced on Tuesday.
