On April 1-3, 2026, the International Electric Power Forum "ENERGOPROM-2026" was held in Kazan, Russia.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Sergey Tsivilev, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, as well as high-level representatives from CIS countries and other states.
In his address, Sergey Tsivilev noted that the forum acquired federal status in 2026 and strengthened its role as an international platform for discussing the future of energy, exchanging experience, and showcasing practical solutions.
As part of the ENERGOPROM Forum, the 68th meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council took place. Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, T.R. Midkhun, sent a video address to it's participants.
He emphasized the importance of strengthening international cooperation amid the transformation of global energy, focusing on energy security, infrastructure resilience, and investment cooperation. He highlighted the significance of the decisions adopted at the Tianjin SCO Summit, including the Statement on Sustainable Energy Development and the Roadmap for Implementing the Energy Cooperation Strategy until 2030.
