Dublin City Council's Flood Management Team continues to prepare for adverse weather conditions and related impacts throughout this long weekend and into next week.
Met Éireann has issued a further status yellow warning for Dublin, Louth and Wexford and is valid from 21:00 Monday 2nd Feb 2026 to 13:00 Tuesday 3rd Feb 2026.
Further periods of rainfall are expected on already saturated ground. River conditions remain high and there exists a high tides advisory.
The flood gates along the River Dodder will remain closed until further notice. Our busy Crews remain active across the city, making arrangements for possible events and responding to issues as they arise. Dublin City Council is monitoring river levels and coastal conditions closely, to ensure appropriate responses as required. Dublin City Council are in regular contact with the National Emergency Coordination Group on all aspects of recent weather events.
Dublin City Council maintains a limited supply of sandbags at strategic locations for use in response to identified flooding risks. These resources are deployed by the Council where required, with priority given to critical infrastructure and locations assessed as being at immediate risk.
