Qnovo Wins SDV Software Solution of the Year at the 2026 AutoTech Breakthrough Awards

Qnovo's new Battery Genome application, launched in September, has been named SDV Software Solution of the Year by the 2026 AutoTech Breakthrough Awards.

The application gives automakers, fleet operators, and insurers a risk-adjusted view of an EV battery's health, how it's likely to age, and what it's worth. It runs inside the vehicle and draws on charging behavior, operating history, and cell-level data. That helps answer the question battery passports can't on their own: what is actually happening inside this battery?

The timing matters. The EU's digital battery passport requirement takes effect in February 2027. Passports are a welcome step toward transparency, but basic data can't reveal hidden defects or accelerated aging. Qnovo's software fills that gap.

The award capped a busy week. Qnovo demonstrated the application at The Battery Show North America in Detroit, where we talked with OEMs about how deeper battery insight reduces risk and protects residual value.

We're proud to be recognized alongside Ford, Geotab, Sonatu sand others. The award also reflects something bigger: in a software-defined vehicle, the battery is the most valuable component, and knowing exactly what it's doing is essential. We're grateful to the AutoTech Breakthrough team and look forward to bringing more certainty, safety, and transparency to EVs worldwide.
