Because of Trump and Congressional Republicans' refusal to extend the ACA tax credits, families across the region are on track to get hit with a 185% increase in their insurance bills

Congressman Ryan has been sounding the alarm on Trump's massive cuts impacting Medicaid and the ACA, which are projected to kick 17 million Americans off their insurance and have already ripped coverage from more than 17,000 people in the Hudson Valley

After open enrollment for any change in plans started over the weekend, Ryan is encouraging his constituents to fill out this survey to report on-the-ground impacts of the cuts for Hudson Valley families

KINGSTON, NY - Today, Congressman Pat Ryan is launching a community survey focusing on the on-the-ground impacts of Trump and Congressional Republicans' massive cuts to health care in the Hudson Valley.

Since the passage of President Trump's so-called "Big, Beautiful Bill," Ryan has been speaking out about massive cuts impacting Medicaid and the ACA, kicking 17 million Americans off their insurance - including up to 240,000 in the Hudson Valley - and causing premiums to skyrocket. As hardworking people across the Hudson Valley stare down the barrel of a 185% price hike - a $1,000/month increase for an average 60-year-old coupleon ACA insurance - in their premiums, Ryan is encouraging his constituents to fill out this survey. Ryan will take the community responses back to Washington amid his ongoing fight against harmful policies impacting Hudson Valley families.

"We're feeling the harms of Trump's health care cuts and cost increases every day in the Hudson Valley. I'm fighting back against the devastating impacts to our community - but as hardworking families across the region face skyrocketing insurance costs, I'm asking for your help, " said Congressman Pat Ryan. "240,000 of our neighbors - seniors, veterans, and single parents - are at risk of losing their health insurance. 17,000 already have. Nearly half of them are kids. An average 60-year-old couple on ACA insurance in our community could face a $1,000/month increase to their health care bill.
