Country Newcomer Austin Michael Shares The Perfect Friday Night Anthem In New Song, “Slow Burn”

Today (2.6), rising country star Austin Michaelshares his new single "Slow Burn;" the latest preview to his upcoming album Lonestar. Written by Austin, Cam Newby (Drake Milligan, Josh Weathers) and Lynn Hutton (Cole Swindell, Lainey Wilson,) "Slow Burn" is the perfect Friday night anthem - it's all about letting loose after a stressful week and leaving "nothin' but a bunch of good time ashes on the ground."

"Slow Burn" is the latest preview track to Austin's upcoming album Lonestar, out March 6th, 2026. The 13-song collection showcases Austin's unique knack for crafting straight-shooting, troubadour-inspired stories from his own experiences of loneliness and heartbreak. Featuring 11 brand-new tracks, each written or co-written by Austin, Lonestar shares a vulnerable glimpse into his journey from an adolescence of hunting, fishing and roping in Van Alystyne, Texas to life as an emerging country powerhouse, all while never straying from his self-reliant identity of a Lonestar.

The latest single adds to the impressive list of tracks leading up to Lonestar's release, including "Back in the Saddle," a celebration of the simple pleasures of his Texas hometown, "Cowboys Don't Act Like That," a new take detailing a cowboy's heartbreak,"Why Not Whiskey," a honky-tonk retelling of a rough breakup, "Back on a Barstool," an honest reflection after self-inflicted heartbreak, "Hard Earned Heartache," an admission of fault after a messy breakup, and "Whiskey on a Wildfire," a disclosure on the thrills of new love.
