In line with the practice of previous years, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) has published the earnings data that serve as the basis for legal references in the Official Gazette. According to this, the average earnings increased by 9.0 percent in Hungary on an annual basis in 2025. This indicator forms the basis for determining the pension valorisation multiplier.

The data published in the Official Gazette cover enterprises with at least 5 employees, budgetary institutions, and significant non-profit organisations. The calculation of net earnings is based on the general tax and contribution rates, without taking allowances into account. The data have been presented with an unchanged methodology for years, thus ensuring the long-term comparability of statistics and the stability of legal application.
