ATU International President John Costa kicked off the New Officers Training in Washington, DC

Sunday, September 21, 2025
Today, ATU International President John Costa kicked off the New Officers Training in Washington, DC, at our Welcome Reception! This training in our nation's capital is a pivotal moment for our future leaders as they come together to learn, grow, and build a stronger, more unified union. Under President Costa's leadership, these new officers are gaining the knowledge and tools they need to stand up for transit workers everywhere.
"This week, we're empowering the next generation of advocates who will fight for every transit worker, every single day. With each new leader, we grow stronger and more united. Together, we'll continue to elevate our membership and ensure that the voices of transit workers are heard loud and clear."
Whether it's advocating for better working conditions, fighting for workers' rights, or pushing for equitable transit policies, this training is setting the stage for powerful change.
Let's give a huge shoutout to all the new officers stepping up to lead the charge. Together, we're making our communities safer, stronger, and more connected!
