Meet the Incoming Class of Fall 2026

With classes starting on Monday, Aug. 24, the campus is buzzing with the sights and sounds of over 1,000 new undergraduate students pushing carts and unpacking cars as they file into their new home away from home: Millersville University. To get to know the new kids on campus, take a look at some of the data on the incoming class for Fall 2026.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Of the 8,840 applications received at MU, over 1,200 new undergraduate students are starting this fall at the 'Ville. Of those, 1,000 will reside on campus, and more than half - over 620 - are first generation college students. The newest Marauders collectively achieved an average high school GPA of 3.44 and, as you might assume because Millersville is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, most students are from the Keystone state.

While the majority of incoming students hail from William Penn's namesake, they also come to MU from the following states:

  • Maryland
  • Delaware
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • Vermont
  • West Virginia
  • Virgina
  • Ohio
  • North Carolina
  • Georgia
  • Florida
  • Washington
  • Illinois

The top majors for new students this fall include:

  1. Early Childhood Education - Pre K - Grade 4
  2. Business Administration - General Business
  3. Psychology
  4. Biology - Pre-Medical Professions
  5. Social Studies Education (Grades 7-12)

GRADUATE STUDENTS

Nearly 200 new graduate students also begin classes at Millersville University this fall. Top major for them includes:

  1. Education (includes Assessment, Curriculum & Teaching, Early Childhood, Art, Gifted, Language & Literacy, Special)
  2. Nursing
  3. Social Work
