WARSAW - 22 June 2026 r.

The National Museum in Warsaw announces the signing of a framework cooperation agreement with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig. The signing ceremony was attended by: Professor Agnieszka Lajus, Director of the National Museum in Warsaw, Joanna Kilian, Deputy Director for Research, Aleksandra Kielan, Deputy Director for Organisation and Finances, Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch, Managing Partner at Greenberg Traurig, Paulina Bednarczyk, Business Director at Greenberg Traurig and Maciej Tąkiel, PhD, Director of Business Development and Innovation at Greenberg Traurig. The signing ceremony was supported by Małgorzata Borkowska, Deputy Director for Communication and Education and Paweł Pietkiewicz, Partner at Greenberg Traurig and member of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum in Warsaw.

"The task and mission of the National Museum is not only to present and protect heritage, but also to create a space for dialogue between art and society. Cooperation with partners from the private sector, based on trust and the highest standards, enables us to deliver our exhibition, educational, and research programme at an international level. I am pleased that a renowned law firm is joining the group of our partners; its support will strengthen the legal security of our institution's projects, as well as the building of relationships with the audiences of our work. We warmly welcome Greenberg Traurig to the group of Partners of the Museum," said Professor Agnieszka Lajus, Director of the National Museum in Warsaw.

The cooperation between the National Museum in Warsaw and Greenberg Traurig reflects practices adopted by leading cultural institutions worldwide. These institutions develop partnerships with the business sector around projects combining expert advisory, educational programmes, and platforms for the exchange of knowledge between the cultural and business communities.

"The title of Legal Partner of the National Museum in Warsaw is a great honour for Greenberg Traurig, all the more so as we are returning to this group following our earlier cooperation with the Museum. The National Museum is an institution of exceptional importance for Polish culture, combining a public mission with demanding operational practice. Activity of this kind requires the highest standards of legal security and responsible risk management. Through this cooperation, we want to add real value in the areas of our strongest competencies, namely law and innovation. Equally important to us are mutual education and the exchange of experience, so that law and business support culture in a practical, responsible, and long-term manner," said Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch, Managing Partner at Greenberg Traurig in Poland.

National Museum in Warsaw

The National Museum in Warsaw was originally founded in 1862 as the Museum of Fine Arts and is currently one of the oldest art museums in the country. After Poland regained its independence in 1918, the National Museum was ascribed a prominent role in the plans for the new state and its capital city of Warsaw, and the Modernist building in which it currently resides was erected in 1927-1938. Today, the National Museum in Warsaw boasts a collection numbering around 830,000 works of art from Poland and abroad, from ancient times to the present including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, coins, as well as utilitarian objects and design.
