Inseason Action #12 - #13 in Ocean Salmon Fisheries, South of Cape Falcon (Commercial & Recreational)

NOAA Fisheries has taken inseason action in the commercial and recreational salmon fishery south of Cape Falcon

Inseason #12:

  • Effective August 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m., the recreational ocean salmon fishery between the Oregon/California border to latitude 40°10' N (California Klamath Management Zone), previously scheduled for August 1, 2026, through August 31, 2026, is closed.
  • Effective August 9, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., the recreational ocean salmon fishery between latitude 40°10' N and Point Area (Fort Bragg management area), previously scheduled for August 1, 2026, through August 31, 2026, is closed.

Inseason #13:

  • Effective August 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m., the commercial ocean salmon troll fishery scheduled to occur prior to September 1, 2026, between Point Arena and the U.S./Mexico border, the landing and possession limit is 100 Chinook per vessel per landing period.
