Eugene, OR - Yesterday, the Democratic Party of Oregon held their latest press event in Eugene as part of the "No Trump in Oregon" Tour, highlighting Christine Drazan's record as a MAGA politician.

Democratic Party of Oregon Executive Director Candy Emmons was joined by Congresswoman Valhoyle, and Planned Parenthood Action Oregon Executive Director Christopher Coburn, all of whom spoke out on Drazan's extreme anti-abortion record.

Drazan has a long anti-abortion record that includes backing radical bills that could jail abortion providers while celebrating Donald Trump's handpicked Supreme Court Justices overturning Roe v. Wade. Drazan has also said that she would veto legislation expanding abortion protections in Oregon, and has been endorsed both in this race and her previous failed campaign for Governor by Oregon Right to Life, an extreme anti-abortion group that opposes abortions in all instances, as well as access to contraceptives and IVF.

"Women's lives are on the line, and we have politicians like Christine Drazan, like Monique DeSpain, that want to say they're pro-life," said Congresswoman Val Hoyle. "It's not pro-life when you have somebody dying because they're septic because they couldn't get an abortion when they needed it."

"Across the country, we are seeing Republican governors and Republican policies put women's lives at risk," said Democratic Party of Oregon Executive Director Candy Emmons. "When DC comes for Oregon, who defends us? When a doctor needs to know she can practice medicine instead of practicing law, who has her back? Christine Drazan hasn't changed her stance on abortion this time around, she's just working harder to hide it from Oregon voters."

"[Drazan] proudly called herself a 'pro-life woman,' and has been backed repeatedly by Oregon Right to Life," said Planned Parenthood Action Oregon Executive Director Christopher Coburn. "It's clear that Christine Drazan- who celebrated the fall of Roe, who has repeatedly supported anti-abortion legislation, and who is supported by Oregon Right to Life - is an unacceptable and dangerous threat to the rights and health care we need in our state."

Additional events for the "No Trump in Oregon" Tour will include stops in Washington County, Salem, and Bend.
