Apr 06, 2026 Bilingual Teacher Candidate Receives CABE Statewide Award
Vanessa Garcia, a CSUCI bilingual teacher candidate has earned an award from the statewide organization, California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE). The award is the CABE 2026 Carlos Penichet Teachership Award given to a dedicated bilingual teacher candidate with strong potential to make great contributions to multilingual students, families, and schools in California.
The award included a $2000 scholarship and attendance at the 2026 CABE conference held in March in San Francisco during which she was recognized during an award luncheon. Congratulations Vanessa!
