Town of Davie Holiday Closures

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DECEMBER 15, 2025

No Solid Waste Services on Christmas Day

DAVIE, Fla. - In observance of the upcoming holidays, the Town of Davie municipal offices will be closed on Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 31, 2025, and Jan. 1, 2026.

Please take note of the following Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts facility closures and modified hours below. Programmed sports activities will not be performed throughout these dates.

Christmas Holiday Hours

Wednesday, December 24, 2025:

  • All Town parks, playgrounds and restrooms will be open from 9 a.m. to sunset.
  • Pine Island Fitness Center is closed.
  • Pine Island Aquatic Center is closed.
  • Pine Island Multipurpose Center is closed.

Thursday, December 25, 2025:

  • All Town parks, playgrounds and restrooms will be open from 9 a.m. to sunset.
  • Pine Island Fitness Center is closed.
  • Pine Island Aquatic Center is closed.
  • Pine Island Multipurpose Center is closed.

Park facilities will resume regular operations on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025. Municipal offices will resume regular operations on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025.

New Year's Holiday Hours

Wednesday, December 31, 2025:

  • All Town parks, playgrounds and restrooms will be open from 9 a.m. to sunset.
  • Pine Island Fitness Center is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Pine Island Aquatic Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Pine Island Multipurpose Center is closed.

Thursday, January 1, 2026:

  • All Town parks, playgrounds and restrooms will be open from 9 a.m. to sunset.
  • Pine Island Fitness Center is open 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Pine Island Aquatic Center is open 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Pine Island Multipurpose Center is closed.

Park facilities will resume regular operations on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026. Municipal offices will resume regular operations on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.

Solid Waste Service Updates

There will be no solid waste collection services on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2025, including bulk and garbage.

Garbage Collection:

Residents scheduled for curbside garbage collection service on Dec. 25 will have their trash collected on the next regularly scheduled day, Monday, Dec. 29, 2025. This notice only impacts residents who receive weekly curbside garbage pickups on Mondays and Thursdays (West Map).

Bulk Pickup Zone 22:

Residents who are serviced based on the Zone 22 (East Map - fourth Thursday of the month) bulk pickup schedule, will receive collection service on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025.
