BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Continuing to be one of the nation's largest college marching bands, the 475-member Bowling Green State University Falcon Marching Band will perform its annual "Sounds of the Stadium" concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Stroh Center.
Led by Director of Marching and Athletic Bands professor Jon Waters, the performance by the largest band in BGSU history will feature music from all of this year's football halftime shows, plus other Falcon fan favorites.
General admission tickets are available for purchase online at BGSU.edu/the-arts/tickets. Admission is free for BGSU students with a University ID presented at the door.
With nearly 80% of members representing majors outside of music and back-to-back years of record growth, this year's Falcon Marching Band remains the largest student organization on campus, highlighting the nationally recognized BGSU student experience.
In addition to performing year-round at various BGSU and community events, the Falcon Marching Band provides students with opportunities to travel beyond northwest Ohio for immersive learning and playing opportunities, most recently in Dublin, Ireland, where the band performed in the renowned St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Recognized as a standout college band, the Falcon Marching Band's next major performance will be in the 2027 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, where it will perform ahead of the internationally watched Rose Bowl Game. The band was chosen to perform in the iconic parade after a highly competitive selection process based on various criteria, including musicianship, marching ability, uniqueness, entertainment value or special interest.
The selection of the BGSU Falcon Marching Band for the 2027 performance comes as Waters will lead the Band Director's Marching Band in the 2026 Rose Parade on New Year's Day. Waters directed the same band in the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
