Gilbert, Ariz. - In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all Town of Gilbert offices will be closed on Monday, January 19.
Curbside trash and recycling collection will continue as scheduled, and residents should place their containers out on their regular collection day.
The Town of Gilbert joins communities across the country in honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose leadership and commitment to service, equity, and community continue to inspire generations.
Residents are invited to attend the Mesa-East Valley Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade & Festival on Monday. The parade begins at 11 AM, followed by a community festival from 12 to 4 PM.
In recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Gilbert Water Tower will be illuminated in red, black, and green on Monday evening, honoring the principles of unity, heritage, and service reflected in Dr. King's legacy.
Town offices will reopen and resume regular business hours on Tuesday, January 20.
