Kansas City area maintenance work for March 30 - April 3

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from March 30 through April 3. All work is weather permitting.

CLAY COUNTY

Missouri Highway 33 at Major St. in Kearney: flagging operation on Monday, March 30, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for drainage work.

JACKSON COUTNY

Various ramps on Interstate 435 northbound between Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 24: various ramp closures on Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for litter pickup.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route V between NE 251 Rd. and NE 500 Rd.: full closure on Wednesday, April 1, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.

Missouri Highway 13 between Warrensburg and Route YY: flagging operations on Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pothole patching.

PETTIS COUNTY

Route Y: full closures from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for culvert replacement work

  • Wednesday, April 1: between Bethel Rd. and Bethel Rd.
  • Thursday, April 2: between Schenk Rd. and Mahrin Rd.

PLATTE COUNTY

Route M to south of Nichols Rd.: full closure from Monday, March 23 until Friday, April 3 for pavement repair. Details: POSTPONED: Rt. M CLOSED in Platte County for pavement repairs, Mar. 23 - Apr. 3 | Missouri Department of Transportation

RAY COUNTY

Route M between Route U and 160th St.: daily closures with use of pilot cars from Monday, March 30 until Thursday, April 2, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

SALINE COUNTY

118th Trail (I-70 Outer Rd) between Jasmine Rd. and Keokuk Rd.: full closures Thursday, March 31, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.

Route P between Missouri Highway 240 and Route D: full closures on Wednesday, April 1 through Friday, April 3, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for culvert replacement work.

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
