Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Zhou Limin Attends the 2026 Pre-Departure Gathering for Swedish Students Going to China & “Study in China” Alumni Experience Sharing Event

On August 7, 2026, Ambassador Zhou Limin and his wife, Mrs. Zhang Guoying, attended the 2026 Pre-Departure Gathering for Swedish Students Going to China & "Study in China" Alumni Experience Sharing Event. Mr. Huang Liqiong, Counselor in charge of education affairs, attended the event together with more than 100 participants, including Swedish students going to China, and alumni who had studied in China.

Ambassador Zhou presented awards to recipients of the Chinese Government Scholarship and delivered remarks. He noted that China is comprehensively advancing the building of a leading country in education and continuously expanding high-standard opening up, providing a broad platform for young people from Sweden to study, work, and pursue innovation and entrepreneurship in China. He encouraged them to become young ambassadors of friendship between China and Sweden and contribute their youthful energy to promoting friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

Representatives of the Chinese Government Scholarship recipients and alumni who had studied in China delivered remarks at the event. Young diplomats from the Embassy provided a pre-departure briefing for the students and presented a variety of cultural activities, including guzheng performances, a tea ceremony, and a hanfu presentation. The guests experienced firsthand the unique charm of China's fine traditional culture and looked forward to their journey of studying in China.
