Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand Leads Kasetsart University Delegation to Meet with the Dean of Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) in Qatar

On 10 September 2025, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, led a delegation from Kasetsart University, comprising Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, Founder of Scrap Lab and Prof. Ornsuta Dabbhodyan, Professor of Architecture, on a visit to Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (VCUarts Qatar). The delegation was received by
Mr. Amir Debric, Dean of VCUarts Qatar, and was given a tour of the university's facilities.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on opportunities to enhance cooperation between two institutions, including faculty and student exchanges, joint curriculum development,
and academic collaboration in the field of design. The discussions also highlighted Thailand's expertise in supporting the creation of artworks and product designs for commercialization.

This initiative underscores the Royal Thai Embassy's steadfast commitment to promoting Thailand's research and innovation efforts and strengthening academic cooperation between educational institutions in Thailand and Qatar. Such collaboration is a fundamental foundation for the bilateral relationship across various dimensions, including political, socio-economic development, and people to people connections.
