Fort Ann Couple Among Latest Arrests in Welfare Fraud Investigations

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested Raymond S. Kasuba Jr., 27, and Darci N. Kasuba, 32, both of Fort Ann, following a joint investigation with the Washington County Department of Social Services.
Sheriff's Investigators determined that the couple had been receiving Temporary Assistance Benefits while both were employed and failed to report their income. This resulted in over $3,000 in benefits that they were not entitled to receive.
Both were charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, and were released with appearance tickets pending a future court date in the Town of Fort Edward Court.
