The City of Baytown is proud to honor Hispanic Heritage Month with Baytown's Grito Fest, a vibrant celebration of culture, tradition, and community. This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 4th at Bicentennial Park and is free to the public.
Guests will enjoy a day filled with entertainment and spirited competitions, including the accordion contest, jalapeño eating contest, and the grito shout contest. The festival highlights the richness of Hispanic culture while bringing our community together for a day of joy and celebration.
Volunteers Make the Difference
We invite community members to take part in this special event by serving as volunteers. A variety of opportunities are available, including supporting activity booths such as the toddler play area, Chancla Toss competition, mini golf driving range, and soccer kick off.
Your time and energy will help ensure that families experience a welcoming and memorable event. By volunteering, you will not only assist in creating a successful festival, but also contribute to celebrating the heritage and traditions that strengthen the Baytown community.
Event Date: Saturday, October 4th; shifts 4:15 PM - 6:45 PM and 6:30 PM - 9 PM.
Location: Bicentennial Park, Baytown
