Two Bowie State Faculty Selected for 2026-27 USM Generative AI Pedagogy Fellows Program Cohort

The University System of Maryland (USM) William E. Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation recently announced the 2026-27 cohort for the Generative AI Pedagogy Fellows program. Bowie State University is represented by Dr. Renee Foose, chair of the Department of Educational Studies & Leadership, along with Dr. Michael Geuss, professor in the Department of Psychology. Foose and Geuss are among 14 fellows chosen across USM's 12 campuses.

Fellows are nominated and selected for incorporating generative AI into their own classrooms and will serve as champions of this emerging technology. The year-long program will bring the Fellows together to uncover methods on how best to utilize generative AI as an enhancement tool for teaching and learning.
