The City of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development is proud to sponsor Preserving Place: The Santa Fe Continuum, a daylong symposium focused on housing, preservation, and sustainable growth in Santa Fe.
Hosted by the Historic Santa Fe Foundation, the symposium will bring together civic leaders, developers, architects, planners, and community voices to explore how Santa Fe can balance preservation, housing needs, and economic development while maintaining the city's unique sense of place.
The program will examine connections across Downtown, Midtown, and the Southside while highlighting equitable development, climate-conscious design, and long-term community resilience.
Two City staff members will participate in the symposium:
• Faviola Chavez, City of Santa Fe Affordable Housing
• Heather Lamboy, City of Santa Fe Land Use
The event will take place Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the New Mexico History Museum.
Tickets are $35 for the full day. Student scholarships are available.
