The University of Toledo Family Business Center is accepting nominations for the 2026 Doing Right Spotlight now through Wednesday, Dec. 12.

The annual recognition program, now in its fourth year, honors family and privately held businesses in the region that exemplify values-based leadership, community engagement and a commitment to "doing the right thing" in business and beyond.

There is no cost to nominate or participate, and nominees do not need to be members of the Family Business Center. Anyone can submit a nomination online.

Honorees will be selected by a panel of community judges and recognized at the Doing Right Spotlight Celebration on Tuesday, April 14.

"This program celebrates the businesses in our region that choose to lead with purpose, treat people well and give back to their communities," said Angie Jones, director of the UToledo Family Business Center. "These are the stories that define our region's business culture and inspire others to follow their example."

The UToledo Family Business Center is dedicated to supporting and promoting regional family businesses by providing resources, networking opportunities and educational programs to help them thrive and contribute to their communities.

The Doing Right Spotlight was established through the generosity of the Robert and Donna Martin Family to shine a light on companies that make a difference - simply because it's the right thing to do. Last year's honorees were Nysus Solutions, Ohio Logistics and Principle Business Enterprises Inc.
