Frontage road closure starts Sunday for interchange construction in Jerome

JEROME - The Idaho Transportation Department will close E Frontage Road N just east of Lincoln Avenue beginning Sunday, August 16, through September. This closure will allow crews to complete the remaining concrete work that will connect E Frontage Road N to Lincoln Avenue.

What to expect:

• E Frontage Road N will close on Sunday, August 16 at 7 p.m.
• Motorists will detour to Yakima Avenue, S 100 E and E Frontage Road N. View a detour map.
• Business access will remain open, but not through Frontage N. An alternate route will be in place.
• The closure will remain in place through September.

ITD is replacing the Interstate 84 South Jerome Interchange with a new design that will improve safety and capacity for years to come. Motorists can continue to expect intermittent I-84 lane closures and traffic changes until construction is completed in November.

Motorists should plan ahead, leave early, use caution when driving through the work zone, and check 511.idaho.gov for the latest updates.
