On November 7, in Yerevan, the 11thround of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India was held, headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan and Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India Sibi George.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, noting the dynamic collaboration between Armenia and India, as well as the opportunities for further deepening the political dialogue.
The sides emphasized willingness to undertake steps towards expanding and deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including education and culture, trade, high technologies, communications, healthcare and tourism. The parties touched upon the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation within international platforms.
Views were exchanged on issues of regional and international significance. The Deputy Foreign Minister briefed his counterpart on the peace agenda pushed forward by Armenia, including the latest developments in the context of the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
The delegation of the Ministry of External Affairs of India visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex and paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the Genocide.
Within the consultations, the Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Republic of India on Cooperation in the Fields of Public Health and Medical Science was signed.
