On July 31, in the city of Cholpon-Ata, the Kyrgyz Republic, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, took part and delivered a speech at the Informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
Our Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, characterized this meeting as a favorable opportunity to discuss ways to jointly advance issues on the regional agenda, and expressed gratitude to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honorable Sadyr Japarov, for the invitation and sincere welcome.
Honorable Emomali Rahmon, drawing attention to the intensification of geopolitical tensions, the change in the system of international relations, and the emergence of new security threats and challenges, called on the countries of the region to respond jointly and effectively to these negative phenomena.
At the same time, our Head of State emphasized the growing interest of the international community in our region, stating that this process creates new opportunities for the expansion of trade and economic ties, attracting investment and technologies.
His Excellency Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the issues of developing transport and logistics corridors, energy, industry, digitalization, and ensuring food security remain common priorities for the countries of the region.
Our Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, proposed that, given the current situation in the regional and global energy markets, large oil refining enterprises for the production of fuel be built in the countries of Central Asia.
Also, the Leader of the Nation assessed the development of cultural and humanitarian ties as an important factor in strengthening the foundations of friendship, mutual understanding, and trust among our peoples.
In conclusion, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, stressed the readiness of our country to continue its efforts for the practical implementation of the jointly adopted decisions.
