Crude is up $3.00 on the heels of more Strait of Hormuz war chatter. Natural gas is largely unchanged. The heat is strong in the Southeast and Texas, extending up to Chicago. The West Coast is the only place that is below normal. Production is hovering over 112 Bcf/day. It all comes down to how much Salt withdraws over the next 2 weeks. If the heat remains all month, the market will rally. Otherwise, expect a slow grind down towards the $2.65 strike.
China's LNG Imports Set to drop 18% in August
China's liquefied natural gas imports are on track to slump by 18% in August from a year earlier, bucking a three-month-long trend of growing purchases this summer, as high LNG prices put off some price-sensitive industrial consumers, vessel-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg showed on Monday.
