Residents and motorists can expect to hear significant nighttime noise at the Cesar Chavez Exit and U.S. 101/I-280 split
San Francisco County ― Caltrans is continuing rehabilitation work on the U.S. 101 Bayshore Freeway (Hospital Curve) from Candlestick Point Recreation Area to 16th Avenue as part of the Fab 4 Rehabilitation Project in San Francisco.
Beginning next week, Tuesday, May 12 through Friday, May 15 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., crews will begin removing sections of the U.S. 101 median barrier between Bacon and Cesar Chavez. This work requires cutting existing concrete barrier segments so they can be removed and replaced with the new barrier. The U.S. 101 far left lanes, northbound and southbound, will be closed during this work. Residents and motorists, particularly those near the Cesar Chavez exit at the U.S. 101/I-280 split, should expect significant noise during the barrier-cutting operations.
Motorists should proceed cautiously through work zones. For more information about this project and the Fab 4 Rehabilitation Project, visit sfhighwayprojects.com.
