Item 8.01 Other Events.

The Eddy loan combination, an asset of Benchmark 2021-B31 Mortgage Trust (the "Issuing Entity"), is being serviced pursuant to the pooling and servicing Agreement, dated as of December 1, 2021 (the "BMARK 2021-B31 PSA"), by and among Citigroup Commercial Mortgage Securities, Inc., as depositor, Midland Loan Services, a Division of PNC Bank, National Association, as master servicer, Rialto Capital Advisors, LLC, as special servicer, Citibank, N.A., as certificate administrator, Wilmington Trust, National Association, as trustee, and Pentalpha Surveillance LLC, as operating advisor and asset representations reviewer, which governs the issuance of the Benchmark 2021-B31 Mortgage Trust, Commercial Mortgage Pass-Through Certificates, Series 2021-B31. The BMARK 2021-B31 PSA was filed as Exhibit 4.1 to the registrant's Current Report on Form 8-K dated December 22, 2021, and filed by the registrant on December 22, 2021 under Commission File No. 333-228597-10.

Effective as of October 30, 2026, pursuant to Section 6.08(a)(i) of the BMARK 2021-B31 PSA, the Directing Holder with respect to The Eddy Loan Combination has terminated Rialto Capital Advisors, LLC as special servicer with respect to The Eddy loan combination under the BMARK 2021-B31 PSA, and has appointed Torchlight Loan Services, LLC to act as successor special servicer with respect to The Eddy loan combination under the BMARK 2021-B31 PSA. A copy of the related Acknowledgment of Replacement Special Servicer, dated October 30, 2026 is attached hereto as Exhibit 20.1.
