Route 7 northwest of Richland now open

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo . - Missouri Route 7, between Camden County Route T and the city of Richland, is now open following the completion of two bridge rehabilitation projects.

On T hursday , Sept. 2 4 , 2026, construction crews, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, completed replacing the bridge deck (driving surface) of the Route 7 bridge over Murphy Creek. This was the second bridge along Route 7 to be rehabilitated this summer. Crews also replaced the deck of the bridge over Sellars Creek , reopening it in late July.

Both bridges were built in 1964 and rehabilitated in 1988. While the supporting structures are in good condition, the driving surfaces had deteriorated and needed to be replaced .
