First-year students from the Commonwealth University-Lock Haven Honors College participated in a dynamic QUEST team-building workshop on the Poorman Commons.

QUEST, an outdoor adventure and leadership program originally developed at CU-Bloomsburg, is designed to strengthen communication, trust and problem-solving among students.

During the workshop, participants rotated through a series of engaging challenges:

Blindfolded Ball Toss - students worked in pairs, with one directing their blindfolded partner to locate a ball and gently toss it to another student.
Line Ball Relay - teams carefully guided a rubber ball down the line without letting it touch the ground.
Carpet Square Crossing - groups strategized to reach the end of a boundary by standing only on carpet squares, avoiding the grass entirely.

The activities sparked teamwork, creativity and fun as students leaned on each other to succeed. The QUEST program emphasized not only cooperation but also the importance of stepping out of one's comfort zone - skills that will serve students well throughout their academic journey at The Haven.
