Single Vehicle Fatal Crash
At approximately 12:04 PM personnel from the Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department, and REMSA responded to reports of a crash involving a single vehicle at the north end of Edwards Dr. north of 4th St.
The initial investigation revealed the vehicle left the roadway striking a brick wall and large tree before coming to rest in the nearby RV park. The 64 year old male driver and sole occupant was transported by EMS and later died as a result of the crash. Speed appears to be a factor in the severity of the collision.
The Reno Police Department M.A.I.T. (Major Accident Investigation Team) is handling the investigation.
Police believe there may be witnesses to the crash that did not remain on scene. Anyone with information is urged to call the Reno Police Department's non-emergency line at 775-334-2677.
