Now Accepting Applications: 2026 HCOP Pre-Matriculation Academy
The HCOP Pre-Matriculation Academy in the College of Health Professions at UT Health Sciences is now accepting applications for the 2026 cohort.
This transformative four-week summer program is designed to support undergraduate students who aspire to pursue graduate education in:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Health Informatics & Information Management
- Pathologists' Assistant
- Cytopathology/Histotechnology
- Speech Language Pathology or Audiology
Through the College of Health Professions' REACH Project, participants will engage in:
- GRE preparation
- Professional networking opportunities
- Job shadowing experiences
- Research seminars
- Workforce development skill-building
- Community engagement activities
Participants who successfully complete all program requirements are eligible to receive a $2,000 stipend.
Program Dates: May 11 - June 5, 2026
Application Deadline: March 15, 2026, at 11:59 pm
We encourage faculty, staff, and current students to share this opportunity with eligible undergraduate students who may benefit from academic, professional, and financial support as they prepare for advanced health care careers.
