Their first visit was to Safran Cabin Services in Garden Grove. The site is focused on customer support, offering spares and repair capabilities for Safran Cabin's entire product range. It also houses an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) team. This was an opportunity for company leadership to present Safran Cabin's activities - with products and services ranging from integrated aircraft passenger cabin interiors to advanced air, water and waste management equipment - and to highlight the company's strong performance of the aftermarket sector, along with the unique expertise of its teams. After a tour of the facility, the officials met with French employees working at Safran Cabin locations in the area.
The following day, Safran Power Units hosted a behind-the-scenes tour of its facility in San Diego. Managers explained this Safran operation's business scope, specializing in the design and manufacture of auxiliary power units (APUs), along with starting systems for civil and military aircraft, as well as turbojet engines for missiles and target drones. At the San Diego facility, Safran Power Units is dedicated to building APUs for business jet aircraft. A key topic of discussion during the visit was the global supply chain and the need for companies to adapt to an ever-changing world.
