Northbound I-5/SR-52 Connectors Closed Evening of June 23

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will close the northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connector to eastbound State Route 52 (SR-52) and the westbound SR-52 connector to northbound I-5 on Tuesday, June 23, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

Northbound I-5 motorists will be detoured by using the off-ramp at Gilman Drive, turn left onto Gilman Drive, turn left onto the southbound I-5, then use the southbound I-5 connector to eastbound SR-52.

Westbound SR-52 motorists will take the westbound SR-52 to southbound I-5 connector, use the off-ramp at Balboa Avenue, turn left on Balboa Avenue, and then use the on-ramp for northbound I-5.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
