Georgia DOT to Host PIOH on Planned Widening Project in Forsyth Co SR 96/ Miami Valley Rd

Open House on Planned Widening Project at SR 96 / Miami Valley Road

Peach County... On Thursday, June 23, 2026, at Calvary Chapel Heartland, located at 11029 Miami Valley Road, Forsyth, Georgia 31029, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will hold a public meeting regarding the planned project listed below from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

GDOT, with the support of the Ft Valley, will widen the road. The widening will improve the safety and operations of SR 96.

Cimment Period will be until July 9th

This public meeting is an opportunity for the general public to view the conceptual design of the widening project and ask questions regarding the project. There will not be a formal presentation, but GDOT personnel will be present to discuss the project and answer any questions.

Written comments will be accepted concerning this project during the meeting time. We appreciate your participation in this process.
