Summit County - The Colorado Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing a one mile stretch of westbound I-70 near Silverthorne on Monday, Oct. 6. Work involves removing or milling off the old asphalt and replacing it with new pavement. This will significantly improve the heavily traveled stretch of I-70.
The maintenance repairs are expected to take place daily on westbound I-70 just before the Silverthorne exit, between Mile Points 207.1 and 206.5, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, through Thursday, Oct. 9, and Monday, Oct. 13, through Thursday, Oct. 16. No planned work is anticipated between Friday through Sunday.
