Oil shipments must be resumed immediately

Another day has passed, and President Zelenskyy has still not restarted oil deliveries through the Friendship [Druzhba] oil pipeline. His refusal continues to endanger Hungary's energy security. Oil shipments must be resumed immediately, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán posted on Facebook on Friday.

Mr Orbán wrote: the government knows that the pipeline is operational and that oil deliveries to Hungary have not resumed because of a political decision by President Zelenskyy.

"We also know that President Zelenskyy is going around Brussels claiming that the pipeline cannot be restarted," he added. The Prime Minister stressed that the government expected the President of Ukraine to fulfil his obligations towards the European Union and its Member States and to restart the Friendship oil pipeline.

He added that for this reason he would hold consultations with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on Friday.
