Belarus: President Mahama to hold bilateral talks with President Lukashenko today.

President John Dramani Mahama will hold bilateral talks with President Aleksandr Grigorievich Lukashenko in Belarus, today.

The event, which will take place at the Presidential Palace in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, will precede a high-level bilateral meeting between officials of the two countries. Following the engagement, four memoranda of understanding will be signed.

The President, who is wrapping up a five-day official visit to Belarus at the invitation of President Lukashenko, will address a Ghana-Belarus business forum at the Presidential Hotel later this afternoon.

Key participants from Ghana include officials from the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), and a delegation of private sector players.

President Mahama, whose visit is aimed at exploring new frontiers in economic, agricultural, and technical cooperation, toured one of the country's largest agro-processing facilities, Savushkin Product (Joint Stock Company), over the weekend.

The president also visited the Belagro Agricultural Exhibition where he toured and was introduced to a range of farming and mechanisation equipment, food processors among others.

Accompanying the President are Advisor and Special Aide, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Stan Xoese Dogbe and Deputy Presidential Spokesperson, Shamima Muslim.
