On December 19, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met in Tokyo with the President of the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and the Newly Independent States (ROTOBO) Masami Iijima.
The meeting discussed promising areas of cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan.
The Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, called the Japan Association for Trade an important means of expanding economic ties and strengthening trade relations between our countries.
It was stressed that Tajikistan has unique resources, a favorable geographical location, and great human potential. It was noted that these opportunities make our country a promising place for the formation of logistics and production chains.
Great attention was paid to the use of opportunities for the implementation of agricultural processing, the expansion of the textile industry, banking, artificial intelligence, and pharmaceuticals.
The Association was invited to participate in the construction of small hydroelectric, solar, and wind power plants, and the modernization of existing energy facilities, as well as the establishment of joint ventures.
Growing environmentally friendly products, including fruits, grapes, legumes, and medicinal plants, was considered an interesting direction.
Also, favorable conditions for the establishment of industrial enterprises, the use of mineral raw materials and energy resources were presented.
