Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Zhou Limin Meets with Mr. Simon Westberg, State Secretary of Ministry of Climate and Enterprise of Sweden

On April 23, 2026, Ambassador Zhou Limin met with Mr. Simon Westberg, State Secretary of Ministry of Climate and Enterprise of Sweden. The two sides held an in-depth discussion on promoting China-Sweden practical cooperation on scientific and technological innovation. Mr. Cui Yuting, Counsellor for Science and Technology Affairs at the Chinese Embassy, attended the meeting.

Ambassador Zhou noted that over the years, China and Sweden have carried out fruitful policy dialogues and practical cooperation. Under the guidance of the 15th Five-Year Plan, China will place greater emphasis on scientific and technological innovation and high-standard opening up, accelerate the building of a Beautiful China, and look forward to further enhancing cooperation in areas such as green and low-carbon development, sustainable energy, and the circular economy, with a focus on addressing climate change and promoting green development.

Mr. Westberg highly commended China's achievements in scientific and technological innovation and green development, as well as the progress of innovation cooperation between the two countries. He also expressed the hope to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of green transition and sustainable development.
