Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today launched TextLNK, a free text messaging service for Lincoln residents, hosted by TextMyGov. TextLNK provides updates and information regarding street and utility infrastructure projects. LTU will use TextLNK to share project-specific notifications, including construction schedules, detours, and progress updates. LTU will use the service for a one-year trial beginning in mid-September, with an option to extend the service.
"We continue to prioritize street and utility improvements across the city and work to elevate our customer service every day," said Liz Elliott, LTU Director. "TextLNK gives people a simple, direct way to stay informed about improvements happening in their neighborhoods and along their daily routes. This service reflects our commitment to ongoing engagement, transparency, accessibility, and keeping residents connected to the work shaping Lincoln's future."
Features of the service include:
"Project 'O' Street is one of the improvement projects we will offer text message updates on throughout construction to ensure businesses, residents, and visitors can always receive the latest information to plan accordingly," Elliott said.
